Karen Sue (Hammond) Armstrong of Bucyrus, formerly of Fostoria, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 25, 2025. Karen was born at 2:45 PM, December 25, 1949 to Charles and Phyllis (Brink) Hammond-Keiffer. Karen was married to the love of her life Ronald Armstrong September 14, 1979. They enjoyed many wonderful years together until his death December 6, 2013.
Karen is survived by sons Shane (April) Conn, Raymond (Sherry) Conn, Jason (Lisa) Conn, Daughters Pamela Sensabaugh (Kim), Lori Robinson (Lee) as well as grandchildren Tash, Kat, Gary, Ronna, Shawna, Rissy, Madi Jo, Jakey, Thomas, Titan, Darren, Tieler, Amyah, Mike, Mary, Joe, Dalton, Derek, and Dakota. She also has great-grandchildren Brae, Paisleigh, Stetson, Luke, Jonathan, RJ, Colton, Brayson, Adriana, Zianna, Emma, Briella, Prynceton, Dutton, Evvie, Kinsley, Sophia, Jackson, Bella, Stephen, Dean, Sammy, Rosie, Amara, Barry, Alexander, Ean, Ely, Emmy, Zanden, Trenden, Alorah, Keaton, Trey, Clayton, soon to be Eren and Spencer. She had two great-grandchildren that she raised as her own Timothy and Tatum. They are what kept her going all these years. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She loved and treated all her grands as her own. She was put on the earth to raise children and that is what she did, a great many. She was a mom, and grandma to everyone.
Karen is survived by brothers David (Carrie) Hammond, Dennis (Lori) Keiffer, Larry Keiffer, sister Cindy Hammond and former husband Ora Sensabaugh. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Ben and Esna Brink. Brothers Steve Hammond, Tom Keiffer, Sister Becky (Keiffer) Hulguin and former husband Delbert Conn.
Karen was a graduate of Fostoria High School class of 1967. She came to Bucyrus in 1968. She was a homemaker and mother to her own and all of their friends. She always had an open door policy for anyone in need or falling on hard times.
Karen was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan. She enjoyed bingo, Monday night poker with the gang, and watching old westerns. She was a member of the Carey Conservation.
Family and friends may call Monday November 3, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with services to immediately follow. Her granddaughter Natasha Green will be officiating the services. Memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors, Cancer Society or donors choice. A fellowship dinner will be held at Carey Conservation following services.
