LeRoy Eugene Hoffman, 74 of Crestline, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, at The James Cancer Hospital. LeRoy was born on December 13, 1950, in Crestline to the late Harl and Leona (Pollock) Hoffman.
LeRoy was a graduate of Colonel Crawford High School, class of 1969. He married his high school sweetheart, Angela Teetrick on November 8, 1969. LeRoy was then drafted in the United States Army, where he served our country faithfully from 1970 until 1972 during the Vietnam War. After his discharge from the military, LeRoy went on to work for Pittsburgh Plate Glass "PPG", later known as PGW where he dedicated 42 years, later retiring in 2011.
LeRoy was a member of the Windfall United Church of Christ, where he attended services with his beloved wife, Angie. For many years, he served as an usher, exemplifying his commitment to his faith community and helping to foster a welcoming atmosphere for all who entered.
LeRoy was an avid fisherman, often found casting his line at Clear Fork Reservoir and Pleasant Hill, where he cherished the tranquility of nature and the thrill of the catch. His love for sports was evident, with a particular fondness for football and golf, which he enjoyed watching with friends and family. He was also known in his community for his willingness to lend a hand, mowing yards around his neighborhood in the summer and snow plowing driveways and sidewalks in the winter, a gesture that reflected his generous spirit.
In his younger years, LeRoy had a zest for adventure, marked by his enthusiasm for drag racing and tinkering with cars-passions that highlighted his creative side and mechanical aptitude.
