Stephanie Smith Obituary

Stephanie Jo (Beeney) Smith, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandma, sister and aunt, 58 years young, of Marion passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family. Stephanie was born on May 2, 1967 in Marion, Ohio. She was the daughter of Sharon (Postell) Beeney. On July 2, 1989, she married the love of her life Timothy A. Smith and he survives in Marion. Also surviving are her two daughters who were her pride and joy: Sigourney Glaze and Abriana (Justin) Niles; her mother Sharon Beeney, grandchildren; Drew, Lucas and Hadley; siblings: Erika (Tom) Bower and Bryan Beeney; numerous nieces and nephews and her special cousins Christopher Leibengood and Jackie Davis. She was preceded in death by her brother Trevor Nathan Beeney ; nephew: Zachary Taylor Beeney; and her Godmother and Aunt Sheila Cornelius. Together, Stephanie and Tim built a house, a business, and a family. Together, they owned and operated Ready to Rent LLC, where Stephanie kept the business together behind the scenes and you could frequently hear her voice on the radio. Stephanie found joy in the art of scrapbooking, where she preserved precious memories with intricate detail and love. Her albums were living stories, capturing laughter, milestones, and the moments that stitched her family together. Stephanie was also an avid traveler, finding wonder in new places and experiences. She believed the world was full of beauty waiting to be discovered-and she did just that. Stephanie had a true gift for giving-her presents were never ordinary. Every gift she gave was wrapped in thoughtfulness, chosen with care, and full of heart. More than anything, Stephanie cherished her family. They were the center of her world and the greatest joy in her life. Her love was unwavering and her support was ever present. She spent hours supporting her daughters' County Fair projects and was there for every livestock competition. She was the kind of person who remembered every birthday, lent a listening ear without judgment, and made each person in her life feel seen and valued. Stephanie's legacy is one of compassion, creativity, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. A Time to Gather and Celebrate Stephanie's life will be on Thursday, July 10, 2025 from 4-7 PM in the Snyder Funeral Home, Denzer Chapel, 360 E. Center St., Marion, Ohio 43302. Stephanie's Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Cody Schrepferman officiating. Interment will follow in the Marion Cemetery. Stephanie and I shared memberships in a number of organizations. That's how I came to know her as action oriented. When something needed to be done, Stephanie was always willing and able to roll up her sleaves and get to work. Her love for animals was also a part of her legacy. She has left us too soon and, hopefully, we can manage to live up to her expectations.
