I knew Virg in the middle sixties when I was a department head at Kroger and he worked as a moonlighter on my night stock crew. Most of my crew members were younger so Virg was a person I tended to listen to frequently. I often sought his opinion on various subjects. I respected his view and I believe he had some impact on the success I enjoyed in the coming years. I knew Lianne as her brother ,Ivan, and I were in the scouts together. I lost track of Virg for about 50 years but we became Facebook friends a few years ago. I had no idea he had passed until today when I found his obit on line. I was somewhat surprised to find that we shared a love for Corvettes ,birds and flowers. Virg was a special kind of person that earned the respect of others. My sincere condolences to Lianne and his family.
