Linda Keck Obituary

EDGERTON - Linda Lee Keck passed away at Parkview Nursing Care Center in Edgerton, Ohio on December 19, 2022. After staying at Fountain Memory Care Center in Bryan, Ohio for 11 years, she moved back to Edgerton, Ohio.

She was born in Defiance, Ohio at Defiance Hospital on November 7, 1945, to Grace Hendricks and Leo Lawson Hendricks.

Her family attended First Presbyterian Church in Defiance. She was employed by the family business, Figley Die & Stamping Company, owned by her father, Leo Lawson Hendricks, who purchased the company after selling his stock in Defiance Stamping Company. It was originally located on North Clinton Street and moved to 401 Agnes Street in Defiance. Linda was a member of Lion's Club. She was a dance instructor and taught tap dance, ballroom dance and ballet.

She married Robert George Keck on July 10, 1965, and had two daughters.

She is survived by daughters Roberta Lynn Keck-LeGrand of Louisiana and Candi Lee Keck-Layman of Defiance and Little Rock, Arkansas. She had one grandson, Andrew Justice Layman, the son of Dennis Harold Layman and Candi Lee Layman.

The family wishes to thank both nursing homes for their outstanding care and compassion for Linda over the years.

Services will be private. Schaffer Funeral Home was honored to assist the family with arrangements.
