Simon Pedraza Obituary
He was born on April 17, 1926, in Edinburg, Texas to the late Pedro and Manuela Pedraza. He was a supervisor at the Wauseon Foundry, Wauseon, Ohio for many years before retiring. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was married to the late Esther G. Pedraza. He was also a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the American Legion, Napoleon.
Simon is survived by daughters, Sylvia (Chris) Damko, of Virginia, Letisia (Bob) Moon, of Napoleon, Norma Tellez (Steve Popma), of Michigan, Rosalva Garza, of Texas, Amelia (Frank) Avina, of Pettisville; son, Marco (Sonia) Pedraza, of Texas, Simon Pedraza, of Texas, Ramiro (Jan) Fonseca, of Florida, Raul (Mary) Fonseca, of Delta; brother, Lorenzo Pedraza, of Napoleon; and sister, Triny Tackett, of Kentucky; 53+ grandchildren, 103+ great-grandchildren, and 37+ great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sons, Arturo (Leota) Pedraza Wauseon, David Pedraza, Nevada; daughters, Elvia Cano, Texas, Bella Zuniga, Wauseon; brothers, Pedro Pedraza, Juan Pedraza, and Gilbert Pedraza.
Family and friends may gather from 4 - 8 p.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Walker-Hoening Mortuary (333 W. Main St., Napoleon, Ohio). Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Saint Augustine Catholic Church (210 E. Clinton St, Napoleon, Ohio). Burial will follow in Saint Augustine Cemetery in Napoleon, with military honors provided by the Napoleon American Legion.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Simon's memory to the CHP Defiance Area Hospice, or to Saint Augustine Catholic Church, Napoleon.
