Adam Matthew Tomasko
Adam Matthew Tomasko, 32, of Guilford, passed away unexpectedly at his home.
To say Adam was an amazing young man is an understatement. He worked as an Assistant Chef at Mercy byThe Sea Retreat and Conference Center in Madison, CT.
Adam is lovingly remembered by his father, Timothy Tomasko (Colleen Lord), brothers Brandon, Ryan, and nephew Aiden, and sister Kaleigh (Joe Limauro), and nephews and niece Marino, Carter, and Everleigh. Step-sister Sara Anderson, (Brian) and nieces and nephews Layla, Zoey, and Colter as well as his stepmother Dorothy Tomasko. Grandmother Celeste Wotton Tomasko, Uncle Brian (Heidi Abrahamson), cousins James and Allison, Uncle Andy (Dawn Wilkinson), cousins Sean (AmandaTaraian), Grace, and Kate Tomasko, and Aunt LeeAnne (Oliver Sherwin), and cousin Elizabeth.
He was predeceased by his mother, Susan Abbott Tomasko and grandfather, Terrence William Tomasko and grandparents, Dorothy and Francis Abbott.
Adam had a loving, tender heart, always ready to help people or an animal in need. He loved to cook and his dishes at Mercy by The Sea were legendary. He loved fishing, especially with his friend Robbie, camping, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, and teaching his young cousins Riley and Liam video games.
Adam's sense of humor, devotion to his family, and kindness meant so much to those who knew and loved him. No matter the situation, he had an incredible talent for finding the bright spot, to make you laugh and always offered hugs to make you feel special. He took the time to sit with his Grammy to say the rosary.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. Face masks must be worn and social distancing protocol must be adhered to. A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Nicholas Pavia will be held on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Rd., Stratford. Interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Milford.
