Adele Macklow Obituary

MACKLOW Adele M. Macklow, age 88, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Stanley A. Macklow, died on Thursday, January 29, 2004, at Lord Chamberlain Health Care Center, Stratford. Born in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Ignacy and Maria Kuciczak Domian. A lifelong resident, she was a retired assistant bookkeeper for R.B. Birge, where she worked for more than seven years. She was a devoted and faithful parishioner of St. Michael"s Church, who always attended the daily 8 a.m. Mass. A member of the Secular Franciscan Fraternity 3rd Order, she also had a deep association with the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth of Monroe. She was a member of the Catholic Council of Women, as well as the Ladies Guild of St. Michael"s. Survivors include a son, Stanley Macklow and his wife, Sherry Becker, of Siguim, Wash.; four grandchildren, Karen Cooper and her husband, Chuck, Jim Macklow and his wife, Yoshiko, Anne Macklow and her husband, Ben Glassett, and Julie Macklow; three great-grandchildren, Adam Glassett, Paul and Kelsey Cooper; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by sons, Richard and Thomas Macklow; a granddaughter, Joan Macklow; brothers, Al, Leonard and David Domian; sisters, Catherine Yanok, Helena Forrer, Isabelle Langdon and Dorothy Domian. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11:15 a.m. in St. Michael the Archangel Church. Interment in St. Michael"s Cemetery, Stratford. Calling hours on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Frank M. Radozycki & Sons Funeral Home, 305 Pulaski Street, Bridgeport (directly across from St. Michael"s Church).
