Aglae Fraguada, Glady's ashes were placed in her family plot in La Piedad Cemetery in Ponce, Puerto Rico alongside her mother Carmen Duran and Leo her trusted companion by her youngest son Robert Fraguada his wife Kathy and their children Robert Mathew and Lauren Nicole on July 4, 2014. Dona Gladys passed away on May 16, 2014 in the wonderful care of her loving daughter and devout son in law, Carmen Fraguada and Jonathan Johnson at their home in Stratford, Ct..
Dona Gladys was born in Ponce Puerto Rico on June 29th 1921. Her father was Radames Colon. Gladys arrived in New York City at the age of fourteen and went through the public school system. She raised her five children with her income and worked for the betterment of all she those she encountered. She loved indiscriminately with the capacity to feel others misfortune and guide them through their plight. She spent years working for General Electric, and eventually retired as an employee with a letter of service from the State of Connecticut.
She was predeceased by her oldest son Joseph Fraguada. His wife Mrs. Marta Fraguada was a constant wonderful presence keeping the memory of her husband with us at all our family functions. Gladys is survived by Rafael M. Fraguada his wife Alicia O'Malley Fraguada and their children Michael Gordon and Lorraine Aglae and one of her many great grandsons Gabriel, Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Revere Fraguada. Carmen's children, Mrs. Renee Michelle Isakson, Kisha, Stephen, and Jonathan. They also all have their progeny so the beat goes on with the great grandchildren, last count 11 and all those she also considered hers.
