Alex Padilla Obituary

PADILLA Alex Padilla Jr., age 50, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 20, 2002, at St. Vincent`s Medical Center, Bridgeport. Alex was born in Chicago before becoming a Bridgeport resident more than 40 years ago. Alex was the son of Cristobal E. Rodriguez and Maria E. Diaz, both of Naranjito, Puerto Rico. He was a retired firefighter for the City of Bridgeport. Besides his parents, he is survived by three sons, Alex Padilla III of Puerto Rico, Abel Padilla of North Carolina, and Angel Rodriguez of Bridgeport; two daughters, Sarah Padilla of Puerto Rico, and Lucimar Rodriguez of Bridgeport; one brother, Christopher Rodriguez of Puerto Rico, and Marlene Crespo of Puerto Rico; three grandchildren, Michael, Xaniel and Jeremiah; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Friends may attend calling hours on Saturday (TODAY), September 21, 2002, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport.
