Alexander A. Butcher

BUTCHER Alexander A. Butcher, age 85, beloved wife of Mary Kochis Butcher, of Fairfield, died March 10, 2005, at St. Vincent s Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport, he was a longtime resident of Fairfield. A veteran of World War II, Alex served as a navigator in the Asian-Pacific theatre with the United States Airforce. He was a retired Tool and Dye Maker for Fineblanking Company, of Bridgeport. Alex was a past volunteer for Andrew Warde High School PTA, having once served as president, and was a former District Leader and Commissioner for the local Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the Bessemer Seniors. In addition to his devoted wife, he is survived by his son, Alan Butcher, of Fairfield; three grandchildren; Laura Butcher, of Fairfield, Alan Radin of Providence, RI, and Coleen Radin, of Fairfield; his brother, Edward Meszoras, of Stratford. He was predeceased by his daughter, Mary Radin. Private funeral services are entrusted to the LESKO & POLKE Funeral Home, of Fairfield Center.
