Alexander (Sonny) Rogowski, age 88, of Shelton entered into rest on Wednesday December 9, 2015 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He is the devoted husband of 66 years to Mildred Pulaski Rogowski. Mr. Rogowski was born in Shelton on January 3, 1927 son of the late John and Anna (Hodio) Rogowski, and has been a lifelong Shelton resident. He was a retired carpenter from the former Bridgeport Hydraulic Company, and enjoyed farming on his family farm which was a very big part of his life. He is the beloved father of Patricia Weinstein and her husband Larry, Edward Rogowski and his wife Dawn, and Ellen Rogowski. He is the beloved father-in-law of Debbie Rogowski. He was predeceased by his son Rick Rogowski, and his daughter Susan Bartomeli three brothers and six sisters. He is the loving grandfather of Alicia Bartomeli, Nick Bartomeli and his wife Rebecca, Brett Rogowski, Stephanie Rogowski and her husband Mike McElderry, Randy Rogowski and his wife Victoria, and Evan Rogowski. He leaves a great grandson, Benjamin Bartomeli, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may greet his family on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 4 to 7 PM in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. On Saturday, December 19, 2015, a funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Lawn Cemetery Shelton.
