Alexander Salemme Obituary

Alexander Salemme IV
Alexander Salemme IV, 34, of Shelton, died December 12, 2018 at his mother's home in Fort Myers, FL. He was born April 25, 1984 in Derby. He is the beloved, son of Virginia Hess and Alexander Salemme III and stepson of Mary Ellen Salemme and Jim Sigan. He had recently moved to Fort Myers, FL to be closer to his parents. Al was an avid sports fan and an incredible athlete. He loved nothing more than watching the NY Giants and playing football, basketball, wiffle ball, or just having a pass in the yard with family and friends. Al is survived by his father and stepmother Al and Mary Ellen (Blaho) Salemme of Bonita Springs, FL; his mother and stepfather Virginia (Ginny) Hess and Jim Sigan of Fort Myers, FL; his sister Michelle Salemme (Mike Thomas) and her children Matthew, Alexa, and Nicole Civale of Ridgefield, CT; his brother David Salemme of Shelton; and his best friend and cousin Michael Pearson Jr. of Shelton, CT. He also leaves his grandmother, Ellen Blaho, also of Shelton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Ronald and Mary Jane Hess, his paternal grandparents Alexander and Maryann Salemme; his step-grandfather Emil Blaho; and his Aunt Joanne (Salemme) Talcik. Al's untimely passing reminds us that love knows no limit to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope; it can outlast anything. Love still stands when all else has fallen. Friends may greet his family on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelton Quarter Back Club Scholarship Program, 120 Meadow St. Shelton, CT 06484. Offer condolences to his family at www.riverviewfh.com.
