Alexandria Jegelewicz Obituary

Jegelewicz, Alexandria B.
Jegelewicz, Alexandria (Olga) Barbara Swiatlon Jegelewicz, age 96, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Felix Jegelewicz, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2015, in Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her loving family by her side. Alexandria was born on September 13, 1919 in Derby and was the daughter of the late Stanley and Amalia Judasz Swiatlon. She was employed by Remington Arms and Princess Pat as a trimmer for over 20 years. Alexandria enjoyed spending time with her family, but most of all was a gentle, loving mother who enjoyed dressing up, dancing the polka, visiting the casino and cooking especially her pierogis. She enjoyed word searches, was very proud of her polish heritage "Mamusia, my kochamy ciebie bardzo duzo" and will be remembered by all for her sense of humor. Alexandria is survived by two daughters, Joan Alexandria Johnston and husband Daniel of Williamsville, NY and Phyllis Ann Mast and husband David of Stratford, two grandchildren, Jessie Johnson and husband Rob and Nikki Mast, two great grandsons, Keegan and Grady and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, Felix of 67 years, Alexandria was predeceased by two brothers, John Swiatlon and Al Swiatlon and two sisters, Sophie Tyczkowski and Jane Swiatlon. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Grace, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford on Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. The family wishes to thank the staff at Lord Chamberlain Nursing home and Rehabilitation Center, especially the 4th floor staff, Dee, Darlene and Lisa Lee for their care and compassion shown to the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alexandria's memory to Our Lady of Grace, 497 Second Hill Land, Stratford, CT. To celebrate a life, please visit us at www.galellofuneralhome.com

You go and make glorious pierogies in heaven Grandma. Show those angels how to do some polka! I'll miss you, but Grandpa and you can fight over how loud the TV is now and be together again forever!
