Alice McGrew Obituary

McGREW Mrs. Alice Weaver McGrew of Milford, died on Saturday, January 24, 2004, at Milford Hospital after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late David Francis McGrew. A daughter of the late William Edward and Mary Elizabeth Kies Weaver, she was born in Botkins, Ohio, on July 20, 1908, and was a resident of Milford for more than 50 years. Mrs. McGrew was a registered nurse who graduated from Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing in Dayton, Ohio, in 1930. She was an active and faithful member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Milford. She leaves her four children, Alice Locarno of Branford, Patricia Kupinse and her husband, William, of Easton, David McGrew and his wife, Donna, of Milford, and Michael McGrew and his wife, Sandra, of Orange; 10 grandchildren: Donna Bozzuto and her husband, Michael, Laura Josephson and her husband, Carl, Karen Castiglione and her husband, Paul, William, Andrew and Jennifer Kupinse, David and Jillian McGrew, Brian McGrew and Kelly Connors and her husband, David; eight great-grandchildren, Michael, Kevin, Megan, C.J., Alex, Dale, Abigail and Tatum. She was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters. Funeral services from the Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford, on Thursday, January 29, 2004, at 9:45 a.m. followed by a service at 10:30 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Milford. Interment in Kings Highway Cemetery, Milford. Friends may call TODAY from 4 to 7 p.m. Contributions in her memory may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 21 Robert Treat Parkway or to the Beth El Shelter, 90 New Haven Avenue, both of Milford, CT 06460.
