Amanda Busa Obituary

BUSA Mrs. Amanda Jane Busa, 86, of Sagamore Road, Shelton previously of Trumbull, wife of the late Frank Busa, passed away Wednesday February 16, 20011 at the Jewish Home for the Elderly. Born in Providence, R.I. on June 14, 1924, daughter of the late Emil and Julia Hughes Ebner. A communicant of the Church of the Assumption and a retired clerk for Valley Electric Co. Survivors include a son, Francis Busa of Ansonia; two daughters, Shelley O'Brien and her husband Bob of Shelton and Lisa Nichols and her husband Tom of Shelton; four grandchildren, Bobby and Glenn O'Brien, T.J. and Carly Nicholas. She was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Bennett Funeral Home, 91 N. Cliff St., Ansonia, to the Church of the Assumption for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in S. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Calling hours will be held on Friday (Today) from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family fund in care of the funeral home. The family would like to thank the Bennett 2 staff at the Jewish Home for the Elderly for their care and compassion.

Dear Jane's Family,
I spent a lot of time with Jane when her and I used to attend the prayer group at St. Mary's Church in Derby years ago. We prayed together and became good friends. She would call me with prayer requests on a routine basis and would often talk fondly about her family especially her grandchildren. Then all of a sudden I couldn't contact her - by phone or mail. My Christmas card came back undelivered. I assumed she went to live with her family. I was sorry to here of her passing though I am sure God welcomed her home with a warm "Well done my good and faithful servant."
