Amanda Houley Obituary
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our sweet, beautiful girl, Amanda Kathleen Houley, age 21 of West Haven, CT. Amanda was the beautiful daughter of Sheralee Barry Hogberg, (Craig Hogberg). She was loved deeply by her brother and protector, Sean Patrick Houley and his partner (Nicole Wrightington) and sister Emily Houley. She was the light of her grandmother, Judith Barry's life and her "Pop" Richard Barry. She was the cherished niece of Michele Barry, Moira (Michael) Lord and Richard S. Barry and cousin of Ryan Barry. She was the daughter of Robert J. Houley Jr. and loved by her paternal aunts Karen Petrucelli and Beth Gallagher, her cousins Kelly O'Reilly, Katy Micros and Mathew, Morgan and Mackenzie Gallagher. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Robert J. and Nancy Houley Sr. Amanda loved playing lacrosse and was captain of the West Haven High School girls' team. She graduated from West Haven High School in 2011. She was currently enrolled in Post University and looking forward to playing lacrosse for the college. Amanda was a hard working young woman and was employed by the Stonebridge Restaurant and Savin Rock Roasting Company. Amanda's infectious smile and bright blue eyes will remain forever embedded in our memories. Her vibrant energy will live on through her friends and loved ones, whom she shared her life. Calling hours are Friday, February 13, 2015 from 5 to 8pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 14th DIRECTLY in Our Lady of Victory, 600 Jones Hill RD., West Haven, CT at 11am. Interment will be private. So Heartbroken to hear the news of Amanda's loss. I was blessed to have cared for her as a baby. I remember her as such a happy child who loved her brother, and cousins so very much. Amanda always had a smile on her face and I will always remember our days together. I will always remember her sweet little smile and her bright shinny blue eyes. RIP??
