Dear cousin Andrew,
Even though we didn´t spend a lot of time together, every moment we shared was special. I´ll always remember us playing Fortnite and collecting Pokémon cards - small things that brought us joy and connected us in our own way.
You loved McDonald´s, and we went there often together. Those simple moments, filled with laughter and happiness, will always stay in my heart.
When my brother and I came to America in 2024, we got to spend some unforgettable time together. You welcomed us, helped us, and even made those amazing mac and cheese that I´ll never forget - it was your kindness and care that made everything feel so special.
You were always kind and willing to help, never hesitating to share what you had. When my brother and I bought a CNC machine, I hoped that one day we could work together - you had the knowledge, the skill, and the patience that inspired me. I will also always remember that both of us had our own 3D printers and enjoyed creating our own projects, experimenting and exploring - it was inspiring to see how passionately you worked with technology.
I´ll never forget the Christmas in Florida when you surprised us with a big gift. It wasn´t just the present that mattered, but the thoughtfulness and love behind it. That was who you were - generous, caring, and full of heart.
Thank you for everything, Andrew - for your kindness, your help, your warmth, and your friendship. You left far too soon, but your memory will live on in my heart forever.
Rest in peace, Andrew.

Dear Uncle Andrej,
Ever since I was a child, I was proud to have "an uncle in America." Whenever you came to Slovenia, you brought joy, gifts, and a touch of that faraway world I used to dream about. I still remember how excited we were for your American pancake mix and maple syrup - and the toys you brought or sent me, which always made me feel special, like I had something no one else around here could get. Those were our little celebrations, filled with laughter and warmth.
After years apart, life gave us another chance to reconnect, and it rewarded us with new memories. When we surprised you in Florida in 2023 for your birthday, you welcomed us with a smile, as if no time had passed at all. We shared an unforgettable Christmas - golf cart rides, swimming, laughter, trips, and carefree moments that will stay in my heart forever.
The following year, when my brother and I came to America, you welcomed us as if we were your own sons. You made sure we had everything we needed, showed us your world, took us to the beach and restaurants, and prepared those amazing barbecue meals that no one could make quite like you. The most special moments, however, were when you took us camping and riding ATVs - out in nature, laughing, dusty, and free, I felt completely happy. What you gave us wasn´t just trips or food - it was a feeling of belonging, warmth, and true family.
When you came to Slovenia a few weeks ago, everything felt perfect. A few days before our trip to Bled, we roasted chestnuts at our home - a simple, warm evening filled with laughter, conversations, and your encouraging words. Most importantly, you met my girlfriend Anja, and we planned to visit you in Florida next year. Sadly, we won´t see each other there, but I´ll forever carry that wish in my heart. On our trip to Bled and the Savica waterfall, we created yet another unforgettable memory - smiles, sunshine, and the pure joy you always brought with you. I didn´t know it would be the last time I´d get to hug you.
Thank you for everything - for your advice, our chats on Signal, your support, and all the kindness you shared with us. You were a man with a big heart, always ready to help, always genuine.
You left us far too soon, uncle. It´s not fair. But your love, your laughter, and all our memories will stay with us forever. You will always live on in our hearts - as our dear uncle from America.
Rest in peace, Andrej.
