Angelo Roma Obituary
Angelo M. Roma, age 93, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Ada Roma, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 8, 2022 with his loving son Angelo by his side. Born on August 24, 1929 in Ceccano, Frosinone, Italy, he was a son of the late Giuseppe and Margaret Roma. Angelo came to the U.S. in 1970 and settled in Bridgeport. A very hard-working man, he was a member of the Laborers Union for many years and worked for several area construction companies. Family was very important to Angelo, and he showed this by raising his grandson Tony as if he was his own son. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather and always provided the best for his family. The values he taught will forever live in their hearts and Angelo will be deeply missed. Survivors include his three loving children, Antonio Roma, Franca Roma and Angelo Roma, 10 cherished grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Jack Roma and Sebastiano Roma, as well as several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in St. Margaret's Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Entombment will follow in MT. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. My Name is Steve Kazor -We met Angelo on my trip many years ago to Ceccano, and found what a great person he was - and young Giuseppe with Lydia , who was married to the attorney for AlItalia Airlines , My mother Gloria Roma was the daughter of Atillia (Ed) Roma who settled in Arnold , Pa after migrating from Ceccano, Italy probably in the 40s. We visited the family whenI was young in Ceccano -- With Uncle Tony from Endicott, NY and Tony in Ceccano who I signed over the Grape vineyard to him in the 60;s . I have been trying to find relatives for years , I have called all the Bakeries in the the Endicott- Binghamton to find relatives but never received a call back - I hope someone who reads this might connect with the relatives -- ev60@yahoo,com THANK YOU
