Anna Liscio Obituary

Liscio, Anna
Anna (Capotorto) Liscio (Nina), age 85 of Easton for 51 years, peacefully passed away with her loving family by her side on Saturday, June 15, 2013. Born in Cerignola, Foggia, Italy on November 6, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Constantina Capotorto. Anna came to the United States in 1947, married her husband Pasquale Edward Liscio, and soon after became a U.S. Citizen. Anna worked as a seamstress in Bridgeport for many years making leather and suede coats, worked repairing and making costumes at a Norwalk shop before working from her home where she became the person to go to by family and friends when needing something altered, designed, or made. Anna was a member of the Notre Dame Lay Ministry often visiting church members in convalescent homes. She was a member of the daily prayer group attending mass with her friends each morning. Anna was a very strong, hardworking, thoughtful person who cared very deeply for her family and will be missed. She was a great cook and enjoyed feeding family and friends. Her Christmas cookies, meatballs, and pasta dishes were her family's favorite. She showed great kindness to all who knew her during her long and fulfilling life. Anna is survived by her daughters, son-in-laws, grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved and cherished, Grace Liscio Stanczyk and husband John of Easton, Connie Liscio Grace and husband Jeff of Easton, and Patricia Liscio Story and husband Robert of Shelton. She will be forever remembered by her grandchildren, Jonathan Stanczyk, Angela Story (Donald), Jesse Story (Michele), Dianna Grace Stewart (Rodney), Patrick Grace (Ellie), and Paul Story (Jodi), her great grandchildren, Seleste, Jesse Jr., Isabella, and Flynn. Anna is also survived by her siblings, Anthony Capotorto (Pattie), Dora Santangeli (Nicole), and Teresa D'Arcangelo (Luigi), her sister-in-laws, Millie Liscio and Susan Cervone, and many loving nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her husband Pasquale, her cherished grandson, David Stanczyk, brothers, Mario Capotorto and Renee Ossie and special Goddaughter, Joann D'Arcangelo Pannicia. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 10:00 AM in Notre Dame of Easton Church, 640 Morehouse Rd., Easton with a Mass of the Christian Burial. Entombment in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday at 9:00 AM prior to Mass in Notre Dame of Easton. To the Liscio Family,
Your Mom was my Godmother for my confirmation in 1960. Your mom & dad lived upstairs from us on Black Rock Ave when I was born on Nov.25, 1952. I remember visiting your family when you lived in Bpt and then when you moved to Easton. My mother was Francesca Spatola and I'm Gloria Spatola Pjatak. I will never forget your Mom. She was a wonderful person and will be missed.
