Sister Anne Marie will always be remembered for her profound dedication to education, as well as her service to our Lord. Her committment to the students and their families was exemplar.

Our children were priviledged and blessed to have her as their principal. Under her leadership, St. Catherine of Sienna School became one of excellence.

She touched the lives of our family and all who knew her, and is greatly missed, but not forgotten. Truly she has a place in heaven.

A pretty cool nun - even though I was only 6 and it was 44 years ago. Save me a milk and a burger Sister - I'll eat it at my desk.

A Reminiscence

YES, thou art gone! and never more
Thy sunny smile shall gladden me;
But I may pass the old church door,
And pace the floor that covers thee.

May stand upon the cold, damp stone,
And think that, frozen, lies below
The lightest heart that I have known,
The kindest I shall ever know.

Yet, though I cannot see thee more,
'Tis still a comfort to have seen;
And though thy transient life is o'er,
'Tis sweet to think that thou hast been;

To think a soul so near divine,
Within a form so angel fair,
United to a heart like thine,
Has gladdened once our humble sphere.

A quiet woman. A humble heart. A woman of great faith, hope, and love. Her example of living her faith was inspirational. Her students knew it and her faculty and staff deeply appreciated her example. Anyone who was touched by her gentleness and her kindness walked away a changed person. Sister will be missed by all who had the honor to have known her. May she rest in God's loving embrace, knowing that she lived every day with the intention of going home to Him. God bless you, Sister, and please watch over us as we try to continue your example of love and care for the children we serve.

Sr. Anne Marie touched many lives in her 10 years at St. Brigid's School in Westbury NY. She was patient, kind yet firm, knew how to have fun and we all loved her. She was a wonderful role model for us, even as Second grade students we knew we were lucky to be in her class. Thank you Sister, for giving so much to so many.

Sister Anne Marie was a strong woman, whose guidance helped shape me into the successful person I am today. I took Marie as my confirmation name in her honor and many times her morals and my memories of her guided me.

Not being the most well behaved student, I spent much time with Sister Ann Marie in her office - always giving a kind word and good advice in a stern, but kind way. Once spent the whole day with her in her office when I was suspended from our class trip - that day will forever be in my memory and I often recall it. What was ment to be a punishment, turned out to be the best day ever. Thanks so much for the memories - you will be missed! Maria Curiale - Class of 1986

Sister Anne Marie was a powerful woman and completely selfless in her mission. To that end I will make time to quietly reflect on what her greatest gifts were to me and how I can possibly extend her reach. I count myself extremely fortunate to have been touched by such a magnificent soul. I cannot count the number of times she inquired of me, “What were you thinking?” Thank you for always asking, always caring and always investing in me.

Sr Anne Marie was my second grade teacher in 1969 at St Brigid's, Westbury, NY. Sister was kind, dedicated, a strong teacher, and not too shabby with a kickball! Our instruction in the faith really began with Sister! Our class remembers her fondly to this day and has been posting memories of Sister on Facebook.
