Annie Kornelius Obituary
Annie C. Kornelius, 67, of Milford, beloved wife of, Mack Kornelius passed away peacefully surrounded by love on the day symbolic of love, Valentine's Day, Saturday February 14, 2015. Born on May 16 in Glasgow, Scotland she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth McGinlay. She came to the United States at the age of 16.
Annie's daughters and grandchildren were her love and joy. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members. She is survived by her daughters: Maria Jalaf and husband Fady; Michelle Bishop and husband Bryan; five grandchildren: Jake and Nicole Jalaf; Sarah, Rachel, and Erin Bishop; many loving nieces and nephews and her beloved sisters and a brother. She is predeceased by her sister Maria Watters and brother John McGinlay.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her time of need.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 20th, at 10:00 a.m., at Saint Margaret Mary Church, 380 Long Hill Avenue, Shelton CT. Interment to follow at Mount St. Peter Cemetery, Derby CT. Friends and family may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 19th at Cody-White Funeral Home 107 Broad Street Milford, CT 06460. Dearest Annie I can't believe it's nine years since you passed away. I think of you often and remember all the good times we had together and with our families. We had a beautiful friendship since childhood and never had a cross word between us. I will cherish all the happy memories and will love and miss you always.
