Anthony Capuano Obituary

Anthony L. Capuano Sr.
Anthony "Butchie" "Smokey" L. Capuano Sr., age 85, of Stratford, beloved husband of Marie Daddona Capuano, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023 in Bridgeport Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 21, 1938 in Bridgeport and was the son of the late Leonard and Anna Wojnagi Capuano. Anthony was a Firefighter for the Town of Stratford for 25 years. He enjoyed trips to the casino and horse racing at Saratoga. Survivors include his beloved wife, Marie of 62 years, who was his caregiver, one son, Anthony L. Capuano Jr., and wife, Julie of Stratford, two daughters, Debra Timpanelli and husband, Michael of Prospect and Donna Capuano of Stratford, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Maryann Damato of Shelton, Leonard Capuano Jr. of Sarasota, FL, Barbara Capuano of Shelton, Michael Capuano of Stratford, Anna Scala of Stratford, Theresa Procyk and husband,
Andrew of Seymour, Lenore Esposito of Shelton, Nicholas Capuano and wife, Mary Kay of Sarasota, FL, Christina Williams and husband, Robert of Sarasota, FL, Deborah Capuano of Seymour, Jeanette Flathers and husband, Christopher of Stratford and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved parents, Anthony was also predeceased by one brother, Richard Capuano and one sister, Antionette Piccirillo.
