Anthony Lucas Obituary

LUCAS Anthony Lucas Sr., the beloved husband of the late Antoinette (Cleary) Lucas, entered into rest on Friday, March 5, 2004, at his home with his loving family by his side. Born in New Bedford, Mass., on May 21, 1924, he was the son of the late Antonio and Amilia (Rodrigues) Lucas, and was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport. Mr. Lucas was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II, a retired tax consultant and a retired foreman for the Henry Wilks Nursery in Fairfield. Survivors include his beloved children, Anthony Lucas Jr. and his wife, Debra, of Milford, Emma Zerella and her husband, Joseph, Emelia Kelley, Antoinette Rodrigues and her husband, Manuel, and Linda Lucas; a family friend, Caroline Fargiano, all of Bridgeport; his loving grandchildren, Kristine, Joseph Jr., Michael, Jaime, Antoinette, Candice, Anthony Jr. and Brandy; his cherished and loving great-grandchildren, Kristina, Brodie and Sophia; his brother, Edward Lucas of Derby; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend his funeral on Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at 9 a.m. DIRECTLY in St. Margaret Shrine, Park Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport.
