Antonio Giguere Obituary

GIGUERE Antonio D. "Tonya Giguere, age 88, of Milford, beloved husband of Angelina (Sebastino) Giguere, departed this life on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at Milford Hospital. Tony was born on June 4, 1918 in North Adams, Mass., son of the late Deus and Rosemary (Raymond) Giguere. Tony served in the Army during World War II after being honorably discharged he obtained his degrees from Blackstone College and Williams College. Tony worked as the finance director for the City of Milford from 1966 until his retirement in 1984. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling and golfing. Tony will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Angelina of Milford; and their three children: Marlene Galipeau and her husband, Louis, of Alabama, Robert Giguere and his wife, Sandra, of Milford, and Sharon Fowler and her husband, Paul, of Missouri. Tony is also survived by a brother, Sylvio Giguere of Woonsocket, R.I. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Robert, Jolene, and Matthew Giguere, Darlene and Derek Galipeau, and Alfred and Craig Fowler; along with four great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 Broad Street, Milford, on Friday, June 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. Family and friends will gather at Smith Funeral Home on Saturday, July 1st by 9:45 a.m. to form a funeral procession to St. Maryts Church in Milford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Maryts Cemetery. Dear Sharon, Paul, Al & Craig, and Marlene & Robert and their families, our sincere condolences on the loss of your dad/grandfather. We know you all loved him dearly. He was a really nice man. When you're missing him the most, try to focus on all of your good and happy memories of him. God Bless.
