Aphrodite Domian Obituary
Aphrodite Domian, age 94, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late David Domian, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2023.
She was born and raised in Bridgeport CT then later made Stratford CT her home for the past 65 years. As a young woman, Aphrodite was a licensed beautician. She later became a sales representative for the World Book Encyclopedia and was affectionately known as the "book lady". Thereafter, she spent 25 years being a local real estate agent. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elias and Stella Linardakis, her husband David Domian, five brothers, John Linardakis, Harry Linardakis, George Linardos, Chris Linardos, Constantine Linardos, and her sister Theodora Silvestros. She is survived by her three daughters, Diane Boratko and husband, Ray, Pamela Fogarty and husband Jim, and Laura Fox. In addition she leaves behind seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She will be forever loved and 39 at heart. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Galello-luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford. Yes, Aph will indeed be forever loved. We all miss her very much. As she was proud to share, she was listed as "a maid of many words" in her HS yearbook, and with those words she brought us all great joy and a LOT of laughter!.....she lives forever in our hearts....Tim Daubenspeck

Mom...I love you higher than the sky, deeper than the ocean, and bigger than the universe. It is hard to imagine you not here. You were my "energizer bunny." You pulled through everything that came your way. You were a strong woman and lover of life. I will remember you always saying, "Can't is not in my vocabuary. I can and I will. Never give up." I will carry that with me throughout the rest of my life. I know you are now at peace and with your loved ones.

Diane, Pam and Laura. We are so sorry for the loss of your mom. We will never forget how welcoming she was to us when we first moved into the neighborhood over 50 years ago. My mom will always remember Aphrodite´s request to light a candle to Jesus when she attended church. May she rest in peace. Hernan, Benilda Serrano and family.

It´s hard to imagine a world without Aunt Aphrodite in it. She leaves behind so many wonderful memories of our early years, family outings and holidays. We hope they bring comfort during these difficult days. Aunt Aphrodite was one-of-a-kind and will be missed by everyone. She shined so bright in so many ways. Her exuberance and lust for life will always be a memory of her light that will never dim. We will now not see her presence, but Aunt Aphrodite is still there, shining down from heaven and spreading her warmth so that we may again share in her love in God´s presence.
