Arnold Sail Obituary

SAIL Arnold H. Sail, age 88 of Trumbull, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2011 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Mr. Sail was born in Hagen, Germany, a son of the late Ludwig and Luise (Hertz) Salomons, and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army. Mr. Sail received a Bachelor's Degree from the City College of New York and a Master's Degree from New York University. He was affiliated with Hazeltine Corporation in New York as an electrical engineer until his retirement. A polite and respectful person, Mr. Sail had a passion for traveling and later enjoyed teaching computer arts within his community at Spring Meadows in Trumbull. Mr. Sail is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Hilde Rehbock Sail, his devoted children, Michael Sail and his wife, Ann of Guilderland, N.Y., Ronald Sail and his wife, Suzanne of Niskayuna, N.Y., Leslie A. Lincoln and her husband, Stephen of Norwalk, CT., his adored grandchildren, Kevin, Timothy, and Quinn Lincoln, Allison, Becky, and Andrew Sail, Leah Pope and her husband, Thomas, Adam Sail and his wife, Siobhan, and by his cherished great-granddaugh-ter, Olivia Pope. Funeral services will take place on Sunday September 18, 2011 at 11 AM directly at Willowbrook Cemetery in Westport. The Abraham L. Green & Son Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans or to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
