Arthur Brennan Obituary

Brennan, Arthur R.
Arthur R. Brennan, devoted husband for 54 years to Victoria Brennan of Milford, passed away on January 23, 2016 after a long bout with pulmonary fibrosis. His memory will be cherished by his family including his son Arthur and his wife Laura of Stratford, his daughters; Victoria and her partner Lubelia DeBrum of Milford and Christine of Norwalk, as well as his beloved granddaughter Rose; his brother Walter Brennan and his wife Maureen of Merrick, NY, his brother-in-law Michael D'Angelo and his wife Jo-Ann. He will also be missed by other family members-nieces, nephews and close family friends.
Mr. Brennan was born on May 25, 1930 to Walter and Rose (Duni) Brennan. He graduated from Fort Hamilton High School in Brooklyn and he served his country proudly durning the Korean War. Shortly after his marriage in 1961, Art moved with his family to Mount Vernon, NY where he lived for many years. For the past two years, he resided in Milford, CT.
Art was the manager of the Fordham University bookstore for over 30 years. Many students who bumped into him years after graduating thanked him for his help and fatherly advice. In his spare time, Art was an avid beachgoer who loved nothing more than to ride a good wave on a sunny day. He was also a voracious reader and he loved to cheer for the NY Giants and NY Mets. Art was the quintessential gentleman who always put everyone else's needs first. He was caring, loyal, humble and respectful to everyone he met.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at St. Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Friends and family may call on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford. Interment will be private.
