Barbara Gilbert Obituary
Barbara J. Gilbert, age 76, a longtime Fairfield resident, beloved wife of the late John Gilbert, passed away peacefully in her home with her daughters by her side Sunday, November 19, 2017. Barbara touched many lives and enjoyed a number of years providing childcare for many families. Her greatest pleasure in life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Beth Gilbert and her wife Kathy Hughes of Guilford, and Lynn Hasak and her husband James of Fairfield, CT, three granddaughters, Danielle Lomagno and her husband Gabriel of Bristol, Allison Greenan and her husband Emmett of Stratford, and Jill Hasak and her significant other Christopher Ruskay of Black Rock, four great-grandchildren, Isabelle, A.J., Jacqueline and Alex. She is also survived by her two sisters, Doris Grey and Christine Schede. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday November 22, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call Tuesday (Today) November 21, 2017 from 5 - 7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Rd., Fairfield, CT 06824.
