Barbara Weston Oster, 90, of Norwalk passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at home in Norwalk. Born in Stamford, the daughter of the late Elmer and Lucy (Smith) Weston, she was the wife of the late Henry Richard Oster Jr. Barbara was a Norwalk resident for the past 64 years and previously worked for Peter's Bridge Market. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed doing crafts, especially sewing and crocheting. Barbara will be always be remembered by her smiles and positive outlook.
She is survived by her children: Betty Gene Oster Buda of Old Lyme, Suzanne Oster Ozimkoski of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Richard Oster and his wife Ida of Trumbull, her sisters: Joyce Ryba, Phyllis Miano and her brother Elmer Weston Jr. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Naomi Marinelli, Jennie Felix and her husband Rick, Ricky Oster and his wife Rachel, Jessica Giansanti and her husband Roberto, Ashley Oster and her great grandchildren: Angelina, Sophia, Lucy, Billy, Jack and Isabelle. She was predeceased by her grandson, Billy Vicarioli, Jr. and sister Audrey Lionetti.
Her family will receive friends on Sunday, April 22, from 4-7 p.m. at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Woodland Cemetery Chapel, 66 Woodland Place, Stamford.
