Barry C. Troiano, age 78, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully, Friday, February 21, 2025, in his home, surrounded by his loving family and close friends. Barry was born November 7, 1946, in Bridgeport, CT, son of the late Paul J. and Katherine (Dunn) Troiano Sr. Barry, a proud United States Navy Veteran from the Vietnam Era, was a PGA Teaching Professional from 1993 to 2016 at Westchester Country Club in Rye, NY. Barry was one of the top golfers at Fairchild Wheeler and Tashua Knolls Golf courses. He was a coach, mentor and friend to well over 200 students. He was proud of his 38 years of sobriety and loved the peace offered by an early walk on a golf course or in the valley in Trumbull. Survivors include his brother, Mark (Judith) Troiano, three nephews, Trent Troiano, Ryan (Blair) Troiano and Justin Troiano; one great-nephew, Trey Troiano; two great-nieces, Brooklyn and Reese Troiano, and his sister-in-law, Susan Kintanar-Troiano. In addition to his parents, Barry was predeceased by his brother, Paul J. "Skip" Troiano. A Burial Mass will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark Episcopal Church, 111 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan, CT. Interment with full military honors in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull, CT, will be private.
