Beatrice Gould Obituary

GOULD Beatrice (Betty) Gould, of Fairfield, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, October 17, 2007. Betty was born in Fall River, Mass in 1919 and moved to Connecticut as a young adult. She married William Gould and resided in Fairfield for the rest of her life. Survivors include her daughter Barbara Barber and her husband Terry of Fairfield; granddaughter Dana Chaisson and her husband Paul of Black Rock; step grandchildren, LeeAnn and Kerry O'Sullivan of Fairfield, Terry Barber, Jr. of Sarasota, Fla., Kim Barber and Charles McQuade of Fairfield; six great-step-grandchildren; five sisters and one brother, Phyllis Monte and Ethel Jackson of Fall River, Ma; Constance Bourget and Dennis Souza of Somerset, Mass.; Evelyn Gouvia and Norma Moore of Tiverton, RI and many nieces, nephews and godchildren. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband, William H. Gould; grandson William (Billy) Barber; dear friend Vernon Murphy; three brothers and three sisters all of Massachusetts. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 10 AM in St. Pius X Church with interment to follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Friends may call (TODAY) Friday, October 19, 2007 from 4 to 8 p.m. in The Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 S Benson Rd., Fairfield. What's to say when you have known someone for most of your life. I know Betty and I were always glad to see one another and there were always smiles and hugs. I'm sure she will be happy in heaven with some of her favorite people! You know that Betty (Mrs. Gould as I still call her..difficult to revert to Betty) and your family will be in our prayers!
