Bertha Conner Obituary
Bertha Conner, 60 of Stratford entered into eternal rest Monday, October 5, 2015 at the CT Hospice, Branford, CT. Born in Columbus, MS to the late Jay and Sarah Cowson Conner, Bertha has been a resident of Stratford for the past seven years and the remainder of her life was spent between Bridgeport and Stamford. She was employed by RHD as a residential counselor for developmentally disabled adults. In her early years she was active in the PTA and the Girl Scouts of America. She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Harold J. Harding, III; two daughters, Michelle Campbell and Jessica B. Harding all of Bridgeport; a step-daughter, Petrolia Harding; four brothers, Jay Conner and John Fleming of Stamford, David and Daniel Fleming of NC; four sisters, Polly Bautista of CA, Nettie Conner of NV, Ruth Fleming of FL and Ericka Fleming of Stamford; two grandchildren; godson, Quinton Campbell and goddaughter, Latoyia Baker; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2015, 11:00 AM at Calvary Temple Christian Center, Bridgeport with Bishop John R. Thompson, Pastor, officiating. See www.mortonsmortuary.com.

I went to school with Bertha, she was always a great person to be around, and so sorry to here that she has passed. Memories of Bertha are ours to keep,our word are few,but our love is deep... May the Lord wrap his arms around you all and comfort you, her spirit will live in each one of you forever. Bertha until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand. Michelle, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. You will be blessed for all the support and time that you gave to her.
