Brenda Lynn Jones passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 30th in Bridgeport, CT. She entered this world on January 26th,1958 to her parents Juanita Crawley Jones and Larry Jones.
She was a loving mother to her three sons Lawrence Young Jr. (D'Andria), Kareem Osborne (Jasmin), and Euraine Osborne. She was affectionately known to them as MaDukes. Brenda was a mother to many and had a village of sons and daughters. Her home was a community home, and many found refuge there. She loved traveling, fishing, and card games. She would often feud over a game of Scrabble with her beloved sister Valerie. She enjoyed celebrating holidays and birthdays, especially Christmas, and sharing the word with whomever would sit down and listen. You would often see her wearing her favorite color green. She was a devoted Gammy to her cherished grandchildren: Lawrence Young lll, Odyccey Osborne, Kareem Osborne Jr., Alaysa Slaughter, Imani Somersall,Semaj Williams, Serai Williams, Euzya Osborne, and Adonis Osborne. She was the beloved sister and baby of her family. She was predeceased by: Susan Golson, Stephen Bonney, and Carolyn (Noreen) Childress. She is survived by: Cynthia Brantley, Richard Bonney (Bernedene), Michele Bonney - Gee (Clinton), Valerie Jones- Rockhead (Aslley), Larry Belle, and Lillie Pleasant. She was a devoted aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She had many close friends whose friendship she cherished. Brenda will be dearly missed and forever loved.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday December 7, 2021 at 6p.m. at Lester Gee Funeral Home, 1390 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, Connecticut. Family and friends may view at the funeral home at 5p.m. until time of service. Interment will be private.
