Carole Frankel Obituary

FRANKEL Carole Deborah Frankel, age 56, daughter of the late Sidney and Elsie Doroff, devoted mother of Stefanie G. Frankel, former resident of Trumbull, died May 22, 2006, from complications resulting from a lengthy battle with diabetes. She is survived by her loving daughter Stefanie G. Frankel of Shelton, Mark Doroff her brother of Piermont, N.Y., sister-in-law, Gail Doroff; nieces, Elissa Doroff and Sari Rosenberg, and former husband and lifelong friend, Randy Frankel. Carole Frankel, an exceptionally kind and caring women, was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was a longtime resident of Trumbull. She devoted herself to her family, numerous friends, and various charitable causes and was a tireless community activist, a member of the Trumbull Town Council, Trumbull Democratic Town Committee, Trumbull Library Board, a candidate for the 123rd State Representative Seat, and an active member of the American Diabetes Assoc. Carole will be missed by all whose life she touched. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2006, at Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home, 88 Baech Road, Fairfield, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Cedar Park Cemetery, Paramus, N.J. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Assoc. Shiva will be observed at 7 p.m. on Wednesday through Friday at the family residence.

Dear Stephanie and Mark,

I have such loving memories of Carole.She came and visited us in Puerto Rico, and I remember a trip to the Mountains with the Doroffs. I felt Carole was as much my cousin as Fred and Michael.Please accept ny condolences

I was lucky enough to have met Carole on several occasions, and I can honestly say she was one the most genuine, kind, caring, and loving people I have ever had the privilege of meeting.
