Catherine Brennan Obituary

BRENNAN Catherine O. Brennan, age 69 of Stratford, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2007 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. She was born in Bridgeport, graduated from St. Mary's High School in New Haven and Sacred Heart University in Fairfield. She is survived by her mother, Katherine Oslai of Trumbull; her sons, Thomas and his wife, Sally of Milford, Joseph and his sons, Dylan and Jesse of Stratford and James and his daughters, Kayla and Courtney of Milford. She was predeceased by her father, Stephen Oslai and her husband, Joseph Brennan Jr. Catherine was a retired executive secretary to the president of Dresser Industries in Stratford. Later in life she worked for United Way and Caroline House as a development director. Catherine was well liked and respected by her many friends and coworkers. She loved the beach and traveling with her friends. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 19, 2007 at 11 a.m. in St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. Interment will be private. Calling hours on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford. The family wishes to extend its sincere appreciation to Dr. Peter Marks and the entire staff of the Yale Medical Oncology Group for their compassion and caring during her illness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Catherine's name to the Dr. Andrew J. and Henrietta Panettieri Burn Center at Bridgeport Hospital in care of the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation, 267 Grant Street, Bridgeport, CT 06610.
