Celestino "Tino" Coelho Faria, age 72, of Palm Coast, Florida, and formerly of Connecticut, passed away into the arms of the Lord on May 21st, 2024, in Chaves, Portugal.
Born in Outeiro Seco, Portugal, on August 29, 1951, he was the son of the late José and Esperança Faria. Tino was a Forriel of the National Republic Guard before immigrating to the United States in 1976. He retired from O & G Industries in 2014.
Tino is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Maria Isabel, who he was married to for 47 years, his son, Kevin Faria (Staci) of Seymour, daughter, Stacey Rodriguez (Luis) of Bridgeport, and grandchildren, Andrew, KC and Cali. Additional survivors include his sister, Armandina Faria (José) of Outeiro Seco, sister, Aida Rio (Fernando) of Outeiro Seco, brother, Luis Faria (Connie) of Ludlow, MA, godchildren, Frederico, Rui, Christina and Ana Rita, and many more family and friends.
Tino was predeceased by his sister, Natália Chaves, cousin, Cândida Silva, and nephew, David Cruz.
Tino loved cooking and spending time with his family. He enjoyed raising rabbits and chickens, making homemade wine and Portuguese sausages, going to the Vasco Da Gama Portuguese Club and watching his favorite soccer team, Benfica, play. Walking on the boardwalk at Flagler Beach with his wife is what he loved the most.
The family would like to thank family and friends for their support, but especially the Rio Family, who helped care for Tino in his final year of life at the Hospital Privado De Chaves. There will be a Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Fátima in Bridgeport, CT, on Tuesday, May 28th, at 6:30 p.m.
