I was saddened to hear about Christopher's passing at too early an age. We knew each other as children, growing up, and then attended Fairfield U together. He always lit up the room with his fabulous smile and everyone called him a friend. Chris made a positive impact on the people who knew him and we will all remember him fondly in our hearts and in our prayers. God bless his family and dear friends at this time of sorrow.

My memory of Chris is from Stratfield School, grade 5. I remember that he was a huge baseball fan and would often stay up to see a game to it's end. He would sometimes be sleepy in class because of this but he always had a big smile on his face when the teacher asked him about the game.

I'm surprised and saddened to learn of Chris' passing. We were friends as kids and into high school but lost touch after that. I remember him as a good athlete and a smart, funny kid who loved music. Seems like yesterday. I'm saying a prayer for him and for his family in this time of grief. God bless.

Tis hard to break the tender cord
When love has bound the heart,
Tis hard so hard to speak, the words,
"we must forever part."
Dearest loved one we have laid thee
In the peaceful grave's embrace,
But they memory will be cherished
Till we see they heavenly face.
Go with the angels.

Dear Coach Cook and family. I was saddened and shocked to hear about Chris' passing from an email I received from the Fairfield baseball team. There are no words to express how sorry I am for you and your family and Chris' wife and daughter. I can't imagine what you are going through at this time and I pray that God will give you the strength to get through this difficult time. I can still remember Chris as a little boy hanging around the baseball team when we were at Fairfield. He grew up to be a great man, like his father, and I know how proud of him you must be! Hopefully the wonderful memories that you shared will comfort you in your time of sorrow. He was much too young to be taken from all of you and I will keep Chris and all of you in my thoughts and prayers. May the light of his life continue to shine upon you and comfort you at this sad time. May God bless Chris and all of you. Sincerely, Paul

I just received a very sad email from St. Pauls on the Green about the loss of Chris -- the church where Chris and Camilla were married. I am so saddened at this loss. I had the distinct honor of serving as the St. Paul's wedding coordinator for their wedding. The last time I saw Chris and Camilla, their little girl had just been born. I watched Camilla while she was carrying the baby. I saw such happy faces. It made me feel good. It made me feel proud to be a part of St.Paul's wedding ministry and to be able to share in the lives of those in their incredible family for that lovely day. I remember Camilla's distinguished dad as I lined her and her dad up before they ascended the stairs before walking down the aisle and I remember Chris' beaming face standing at the end of that aisle as his beautiful bride walked towards him. I send my deepest sympathy to Camilla. I myself lost my too young husband in 2010. I so understand the loss of a husband and best friend. I offer my prayers to Camilla and family and will keep the memories alive of that happy day they were united in marriage. God bless..may he rest in peace and rise in glory.

I received an email yesterday with a request to serve at two funerals at St Paul's. I wondered why I hadn't seen you both around and all I envision in my mind's eye are two smiling faces. Beaming smiles. I'll be serving. Camilla, do know that WE are here for you as your family beyond family.

Camilla, Kirsten, Uncle Don, Aunt Donna and Courtney - My heartfelt sympathies, love and prayers continue to be with you all of you. As we all know, Chris was a special, kind-hearted and loving spirit who made our family richer beyond words. He always made me smile and laugh, and inevitably, in any conversation I had with Chris, he taught me something! I was so proud to have him as my cousin. His memory is a blessing.

Dearest Camilla and Family,
ALL my love to you... When at a loss for words, or there are no words, Mary Elizabeth Frye managed to pen the exact right ones...

"Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on the snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die."
He is ALWAYS with you.

To his loving family, I am so sorry for your loss. Chris was one of my first friends at Fairfield. I still remember the day we met in the Dean's office. He was always smiling, happy, peaceful. I loved talking with him, watching him play baseball, and just being friends. I haven't seen him in many years, but it feels like just yesterday we were at Fairfield together. Words cannot express how sorry I am. My love and prayers to all of you in this difficult time.
