Craig Foster of Brewster, Massachusetts, passed away after a long struggle with cancer on July 23, 2021.
Craig is survived by his parents, Dean and Bonnie Jane Foster, of Brewster, MA; his daughter, Shanade Morrow, and grandson Oscar Freeman of Leamington Spa, UK; his brother, Jeffrey Foster (Jill), also of Brewster; and niece and nephew Madison and Benjamin Foster, along with aunt Donna Veneri, godparents Lou and Marge Fasold, and his beloved cousins Cheryl, Leslie, Michael, Lisa, and Gregory.
Craig was born in Bridgeport CT and grew up in Stratford CT where he was known for his love of music, sports, and mischief. Many lifelong friends from the Stratford days mourn his passing.
He graduated from Bunnell High School and attended Franklin Pierce College. Craig enlisted in the Marine Corp in 1986 and proudly served for four years, including at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan. Craig summited Mount Fuji while stationed there.
Upon return to the US after an honorable discharge, Craig lived in CT, MA, and Breckinridge CO where he pursued his lifelong passion as an expert skier. He was never happier than on a ski mountain, whether it was in the Northeast or out West. He worked side by side with his brother Jeff as a carpenter for many years.
Craig was a seeker of spiritual and personal knowledge, always on a quest to better his understanding of himself and the world around him. He was a talented drummer and played in several bands. He loved his family and friends.
Craig received excellent care throughout his illness through the Veteran's Administration in Providence, RI, and through the Cape Cod Healthcare VNA Hospice at the end of his life.
