Dale Elbert Obituary

Dale R. Elbert Sr.
Dale R. Elbert Sr., age of 58 of Bridgeport, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Born in Stamford on June 8, 1963, he was the son of late Frank and Jean (Eltinge) Elbert. Dale was a family man who loved his family more than anything. Dale was a dedicated father to his two sons Dale Jr. and Brandon. Whoever Dale was surrounded by, he always had the biggest smile in the room.
Dale graduated from West Hill High School class of 81' and later served with pride and honor in the US Army. Dale had a passion for construction and spent his entire professional career as a carpenter. He was formally the owner of A&D Builders and later started DE Remodeling. Throughout his career, Dale enjoyed bringing his sons to work with him when he needed an extra hand. For Dale and his sons, it was not work but rather quality moments spent together. No matter how difficult the construction job was or how hot/cold the weather condition was, Dale and his sons would always find ways to laugh and make jokes together.
When he is not working, Dale enjoyed spending quality time with his family at the beach, skiing, or doing any outdoor activity. While his children were growing up, he always found time to make it to the ice rink to watch them play hockey. Whether it was traveling across the country for a hockey tournament or just a short drive to the local ice rink he was there. Dale was a huge sports fan but an even bigger Seattle Seahawks fan. He would value and cherish the football and UFC nights spent together with his sons.
In addition to his wife, Mayorie, survivors include: his sons, Dale Elbert Jr. of Bridgeport, and Brandon Elbert of Stamford, his brother, Gary Elbert of San Diego, as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brother Scott Elbert and parents, Frank Elbert, and Jean (Eltinge) Elbert.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. His loss has been a tremendous heartbreak as he will sincerely be missed. Friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, from 4-7 p.m., at the Spadaccino and Leo P. My condolences to Maryorie, Gary, Lynda, Little Dale and Brandon. Dale was our friend for many years, he will be sadly missed. We still can't believe it We'll remember all of the good times and the many laughs we all shared. Get togethers, Birthday parties, Holidays, Camping trips, so many memories and so many stories. Thanks for helping to hang my art recently. I'll be sure to come up with a very unique sign for atop of the fancy gate you built. Rest Easy Dale, Love Brian and Lisa
