Dorrie,
Ed and I want you to know that we are praying for you through this season and in the days/months ahead. We didn't know Danny well, but so enjoyed his sweet, gentle and thoughtful spirit during our visit to Vermont and at Janice and Brent's wedding. His friendliness was instant and genuine. I can't imagine what you are going through, but pray that you will receive an inner strength to remember the wonderful years of Danny's life and what he has meant to so many. The Christmas cactus that we sent blooms every year...so it is my hope that as it blooms each year, that you will be blessed knowing that Danny touched so many lives....many that are only known to God...
We are excited about your impending move to Texas.
God Bless you...

Dear Friends and Family of Dan-o, There's no combination of words that could accurately describe the extent of Dan-o's excellence as a friend and a human being. His heart was bigger, his smile was brighter, his laugh was more genuine, his personality more glorious, insightful, creative & witty than anyone I know. His presence was a gift that I am honored to have received. My heart goes out to everyone ever blessed with his presence and love.

Dear Dorrie, family and friends, Dan was, and still is, the most influential person i have ever met. I fell in love with his personality, his beautiful spirit, his loving nature, and his positive outlook on the world. Dan gave me some of lifes most precious gifts and for that i can never forget him. I want to thank Dorie for bringing one of the most beautiful people into the world. Unfortunately, a greater force has taken him away from us. I am very thankful that i was granted the ability to spend such meaningful time with Dan. He left a special mark on the hearts of many people at the Castleton State College. I also want to give thanks to Dan's friends back home. He mentioned the great times he had living with you all. I just wanted to let you know that his friends were very important to him. He would want us all to be strong because life goes on.

DanO was one of the gentlest souls I've ever met. I'm so grateful to have known him during high school and to have remained friends with him through college. I saw DanO over Thanksgiving and was thrilled that he was doing so wonderfully, but with the same sweet spirit that he always had. I will miss him terribly.

Our heartfelt sympathy to all of Dan's family. We have known Dan for so many years as a friend of David and Ben's. He spent many an hour at our home in Southport and we cherish those memories of him. Rich remembers coaching Dan on the Rec soccer team - cub scouts at Dwight School and many a play date - they were wonderful times. Dan always had such a kind sweet way about him and he will be sorely missed by all of us. We are so sorry.

Dan was a very dear friend of mine as long as I can remember. I played soccer next to him, I attended Cub Scouts with Dan, I graduated high school next to him, and is still one my great friends to this day. My deepest wishes go to his family and friends. I know we will all miss "Dano," he was the one who always had a smile on his face and always had something encouraging too say. Dano, I miss you man!!

You have my deepest sympathy in the loss of Dan. Dano has been a special person in our family and a dear friend to my children, Carl-Erich and Alexandra. His thoughtfulness and caring towards his friends is a gift that has always impressed me about him. At Carl-Erich's high school graduation party I remember asking him about the time he was taking to write in people's yearbooks. His response was that when you care about someone you need to take that time to be thoughtfull and let that person know how you feel.
