Daniel E. Rich

RICH Daniel E. Rich, age 42 of Stratford, the beloved husband of Dawn Garavel Rich, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, September 9, 2010 with his loving family by his side. Dan was born on July 20, 1968 in Bridgeport and was the devoted son of Donald and Patricia Kehoe Rich of Stratford. He was a graduate of Bunnell High School, Class of 1986 where he played football during his four years at Bunnell. Dan was also a graduate of Southern Connecticut where he received his BS in Computer Graphics. He was employed with the Southern Graphics Company in New Jersey as a graphic-designer for 15 years and enjoyed boating, fishing, cars and was also an avid Red Sox Fan. In addition to his devoted wife Dawn and parents, he is also survived by one son, Edward R. Rich and daughter, Miranda Faith Rich; one brother, Thomas D. Rich and his wife, Karen of Stratford; four nieces, Brittany, Ashley and Caitlin Rich, Kiley Bakis; two aunts, Katherine Kehoe of Florida, Dorothy Kehoe and her companion, George Hulton of Stratford; cousin, Kevin Connolly; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anne and Robert Garavel of Derby; sisters-in-law, Chrissy and husband, John Bakis of Orange and Gina Micklos of Berlin. Dan was also predeceased by two aunts, Shirley Kehoe and Cecelia Connolly and his uncle, Edward D. Kehoe. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 8 a.m. in the Galello-Luchansky Funeral Home, 2220 Main Street, Stratford and at 9 a.m. in St. James Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Lynch. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery Stratford.
