Bristol, David
David Lewis Bristol, age 79, of Seymour passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2013 at the Griffin Hospital in Derby. He was the devoted husband of 48 years to the late Priscilla Marie (Durost) Bristol.
David was born in Derby on December 19, 1933 son of the late Arthur L. and Matilda B. (Lurix) Bristol and was a lifelong Valley resident.
He was a retired industrial plumber for over 30 years at the former Anaconda American Brass Co. David enjoyed fishing, tinker in his basement on many projects, and spending time with his family.
David was the beloved father of Bonnie Tillotson, of Shelton, David Bristol, Jr, of VA, Donald Bristol, of FL, Dana Bristol, of Seymour, Sharon Bristol, of Derby, Lorena Baker, of PA, Daniel Arthur Bristol, of VA and Lori Wranitz, of VA.
He is the brother of Arthur Bristol, Bert Bristol, June Kessler, and the late Bill Bristol.
He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday at 5 to 8 PM, followed by a funeral service at 7:30PM in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby, CT. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery Ansonia,CT at the convience of the family. To leave online condolences please go to www.adzimafh.com .

As the one year anniversary arrives this Sat. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as we reflect on the good times with Uncle David. I can't believe its been a whole year, it seems like just a few months ago. Sending BIG HUGS for my cousins and just know you and he will be in my ?? Especially today. Hope the weather is great and one of you get to go fishing for your Dad, or Uncle. Love and hugs to each one of you as today will be a tough one I'm sure for you all.

To ALL my cousins,my heart feels your pain for the lost of a GREAT MAN.He lived life with such laughter and to the fullest. I'm so very glad I took my mom, his sister, up there for a visit just 2 weeks ago and the two of them had a great time together.Uncle David was one of a kind and a real gem. My kids will always remember their Uncle with Buttons in his car.Prayers to you all.
