I´m so sorry to hear of Dave´s passing. For so many summers Dave was truly a fixture at Hadar and it´s no wonder he made preserving the camp for all of us one of his life´s goals. May he rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing for his family and all those who loved him.

Was sorry to hear the sad news. He was a very nice young man who let me wander around the grounds back in 2004 when I was up in New England. We had a laugh when he told me how so many folks like myself came and asked to have a few minutes wandering around the place for a chance to re-live those happy memories. He got it that so many of us spent the happiest times of our youth there and just wanted to touch base for a short period of time.
May he rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to Dave's family. So very sad to see this. He was a legend at Camp Hadar. I stopped in to visit camp several times over the past decade and Dave was always so touched, and amazed, by the number of campers/counselors who came by to visit camp and share stories.

Dear Sammy, Julie and Sally. I'm so sad to read about David's passing. He was such a sweet guy and always a pleasure to see on occasion when he would take his Mom to Stop & Shop or a doctor visit.

So Very Sorry to hear this.
I knew him from my time working at Camp Hadar in the late 1970s, and I thought what he did to preserve the apace was wonderful. About 10 years ago I was driving back from vacation on Cape Cod, and on a whim pulled off I-95, was shocked I found my way to Carter Hill Road (hadn't been there in over 30 years), and stopped and spoke to Dave. He remembered me, and told me I was welcome to wander around the grounds. Took Many pictures and shed a few tears. I will always appreciate his generosity.
My deepest condolences to his family

I knew Dave for many years. I met him as a young police officer in town over thirty years ago. He was always friendly and good for conversation. He allowed locals including myself to utilize the camp for hikes and other activities. He was always full of knowledge about the land, history of the property. I saw him a couple of time in the last few months and as always friendly and talkative. He will be missed. I am sorry for your loss.
