David Marasco Obituary

David J. Marasco
David J. Marasco of Milford, and formerly of Lordship, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2023 at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 20, 1956 in Bridgeport, CT, he was the only son and child of the late Edward and Rosemary (Lavorgna) Marasco.
Graduating from Stratford High School, Class of 1974, Dave continued on to the Monroe Engineering School where he mastered the art of manual drafting of technical documents. Dave then entered the Tool and Die trade where he became a founding partner, President, and Owner of West-Conn Tool and Die, Inc – a precision tooling and manufacturing company now located in Shelton, CT, from where he had retired in 2018. Dave's passions outside of work were limitless throughout the years. Rebuilding cars and motorcycles, hiking, scuba diving, cross country skiing, summertime on the island of Martha's Vineyard, and World War II history were some of his favorites.
In addition to his beloved wife Laura (Pinciaro) Marasco, Dave is survived by his children, Amy (Dan) Miller and Jake (Caroline) Marasco; stepdaughter, Bianca (Matthew) Cuddy; grandchildren, Benjamin and Annabelle Miller, Griffin and Margaret Marasco, and Adriana Cuddy; his "ride-or-die" best friend, Marc Provenzano; the mother of his children, Debra (McCuen) Marasco; and his two beloved dogs, Alba and Bruno.
Friends and family may call from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 BROAD ST., MILFORD, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Saint Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish) 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Connecticut Hospice at hospice.com or the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org . Dave was one of the best men I´ve ever known. He was always there for others, to lend a helping hand. Dave will be sadly missed and will be in our hearts forever.

I am sad to hear of Dave´s passing. I was a young engineer in the 90´s working at US Surgical when I had the pleasure of first meeting and working with Dave. He was so patient with me as I bombarded him with numerous questions. He was always available to help and guide me when needed. I maintained a working relationship with him and the great team he put together at West-Conn and considered him a friend. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I knew him many years ago. He was a nice guy who was always willing to help. He was also a very hard working person. Gone way too soon. May he rest in peace. My condolences and prayers to his family.
