David C. Oleynik, age 45, of Stratford, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 14, 2023. David was born in Bridgeport on August 29, 1977, beloved son of Gerald Oleynik of Stratford and the late Colleen Clark Oleynik and has been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Bunnell High School and attended Housatonic Community College. David was currently working as a landscaper. David you were my friend from the start. My brother hanging out with you.... you were my friend too. You always made me feel special-I always complained you on how smart you were. Always humble.

David and his family were good friends to me and my family. My older son and David were the same age, David attending Bunnell High School while my son attended Stratford High School. He joined our Boy Scout Troop 71 here in Stratford, which all of us enjoyed our activities, camping over the weekends and summer camp in Rhode Island.
I have not had any contact with him in quite some time and will miss him as a positive part of my life as well as many of his and my son´s friends.
Your life was too short on this world and will truly be missed by us all. May you truly rest in peace and enjoy any day you wish riding your new Harley with your Mom, old friends and God watching.
