David Petersen Obituary
David K. Petersen, 60, of Milford, beloved husband of Nancy (Hamblin) Petersen, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Born on May 2, 1961 in New Haven, CT, he was the son of the late Eugene and Claire (Keegan) Petersen, Sr.
Dave retired after 31 years as a mechanic at PSEG Power in Bridgeport. He was a hard worker who enjoyed wood working and being around his family.
In addition to his loving wife, Dave is survived by his sons, Andrew and Brian Petersen; his brother, Eugene Petersen, Jr. and his wife, Virginia; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Dave was predeceased by his brother, William Petersen.
A Graveside Service will take place on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 11 a.m. at King's Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford, CT (MEET AT CEMETERY). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org. I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Dave for a number of years at U.I./ PSEG in Bridgeport. A very intelligent and hard working individual, it was always a pleasure working side by side with him. Our weekend coverage at the plant was definitely memorable!!! My sincere condolences for Dave`s immediate family and may he forever rest in peace. Will miss you my good buddy.

Dave at the UI in Bridgeport. We used to go fishing there before work. Dave was a real great guy. He will be sorely missed.
