Hard to imagine someone as impactful as Coach Wright. The essence of leadership, he excelled in every endeavor. Education, enterprise, athletics and humanity.
I had shared with him, not long ago, the memory from a football game as relayed by my father. Dave's catch of a PAT defeating unbeaten Hillhouse (1950) @ Nolan Field. A stunning upset by a then winless AHS eleven.
Self effacing, Dave said one thing is certain in the Valley, memories and myths linger. #81.
We will miss the friendship of a seminal role model.
