Dear Bonnie,

We were sorry to hear of Dean's passing. It was just the other day that Hig mentioned he wanted to call Dean - I asked why at this time he felt an urge to call and he replied, "I think he is sick and I want to talk to him." Hig is remorseful that he let it slide. Hig says, "He was one of the finest friends I ever had and he and I had an acceptional relationships when we served in the Army. No matter what happened during the day and what problems we had, when we got together, it was laughter and joy.
I will miss him and miss coming to be with both of you in the years I have left."
