Dennis Rowan Obituary
Dennis C. Rowan, 72 of Fairfield, the beloved husband of Rachel Rowan, died unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. He was born to the late William and Helen Rowan on January 28,1950 in Philadelphia, PA.
Dennis was the proud owner of Dennis Rowan Services, a painting and contracting company, that served Connecticut for over 40 years. He enjoyed playing tennis, frisbee, hiking, kayaking, body surfing, fishing and traveling. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to joke and laugh with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Dennis is survived by his loving children, Kathryn Rowan and her husband Peter Warrington and Patrick Rowan and his wife Lindsay; siblings, Chris Rowan, Eileen Cohen and her husband Neal, Mary Rowan, Timothy Rowan, Helen Taber and her husband Ira and Kathleen Burriesci and her husband Gus. He will also be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Eleanor (Nora) and Pierce Warrington as well as his nieces, Megan Cohen and Carly Burriesci.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Rd in Fairfield. Friends may greet his family one hour prior to the service. A celebration of his life will take place immediately following the service at the Gaelic-American Club, 74 Beach Rd. in Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dennis' memory can be made to the Connecticut Audubon Society https://www.ctaudubon.org/donate/ and the Alzheimer's Association https://www.alz.org/.
